About the Cast
Jonathan Ginsburg
Jonathan was admitted to the New York Bar in 1978 and the District of Columbia Bar in 1981. He received his undergraduate degree from Yale University (B.A., cum laude, 1973) and law degree from Stanford University (J.D., 1976). He entered private practice in New York, then joined the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Division as a Trial Attorney. Eventually, he rejoined the private sector, first becoming a member of Ginsburg, Feldman and Bress, Chartered, before becoming a principal in Fettmann, Tolchin & Majors, PC.

Jonathan maintains a national immigration practice, concentrating on business-oriented, work-related immigrant and nonimmigrant benefits for a wide array of clientele, and specializing in immigration matters relating to the arts, entertainment, motion picture and television productions and athletics. In 1991, Jonathan served as counsel to the broad arts and entertainment coalition formed in response to the dangers posed by the Immigration Act of 1990, helping to draft the laws rules pertaining to the present O and P nonimmigrant visa classifications for artists and entertainers. He remains a nationally known expert in these classifications, together with their permanent residence counterparts, and has twice been named one of Washington, D.C.'s best Immigration Lawyers by Washingtonian magazine.

Jonathan was commissioned by the League of American Orchestras and the Association of Performing Arts Presenters, through a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, to author and continue to update what has become the essential online resource on the subject of obtaining visas for foreign artists, www.ArtistsfromAbroad.org. In addition, he has written and edited numerous articles on the O and P categories for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA)'s annual materials, as well as for other publications. He has also served as Vice-Chair to AILA's Department of State Liaison Committee and regularly serves as both an AILA panelist and moderator. As a nationally recognized immigration expert, Jonathan has been interviewed for numerous publications, newspapers, and periodicals, as well as on nationally broadcast radio programs, and spoken at arts and entertainment conferences throughout the world, including the Association of Performing Arts Presenters Annual Conference and the National Performing Arts Conference.

Brian Taylor Goldstein
Brian received his undergraduate degree in English and Theatre from George Mason University (B.A. with Distinction and Recognition, 1988) and his law degree from American University (J.D., 1991). He also attended Oxford University where he studied Medieval English Literature and History. He joined Fettmann, Tolchin & Majors, PC as an associate in 1992, eventually becoming emancipated to the rank of principal in 2000. A member of both the Virginia State Bar and the New York State Bar, Brian's practice is focused exclusively on representing and counseling clients in the fields of entertainment and the arts--including television, music, motion pictures, the fine arts, the performing arts, publishing, artist and arts management, and non-profit arts related organizations--with regard to such matters as intellectual property, licensing, corporate matters, contracts, and obtaining visas for foreign artists and performers.

Brian serves as Legal Affairs Advisor to NAPAMA (North American Performing Arts Managers and Agents) and U.S. Legal Advisor to IAMA (International Artist Managers Association). He is also a legal advisor to the National Performing Arts Visa Task Force and the American Arts Alliance, as well as a member of the National Ethics Task Force of the Association of Performing Arts Presenter; the advisory board of the Future of Music Coalition; the Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Section of the New York State Bar Association; and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He serves as President of the Northern Virginia Board of Governors of Virginia Opera as well as a member of the Virginia Opera Statewide Executive Committee. He is a Board Member of the Arts Council of Fairfax County, Virginia for which he also serves as Co-Chair of the International Children's Festival at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. He is also a member of the Arts at Mason Board of George Mason University, the Advisory Board of the Baroque Band of Chicago, the Washington Area Music Association (WAMA), Americans for the Arts, Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, and the British & Commonwealth Society of North America.

Brian is the author of A License To Manage: State Licensing Requirements for Artist Managers, the Model Artist Management Contract and Model Performance Agreement (all published and distributed by NAPAMA), and a contributor to Building and Managing Your Network (published by Opera America), the DanceUSA Member Toolkit, and Brand, Buzz and Success by W. Blake Althen. He is the recipient of the Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts 2000 Educational Programs Award and was nominated for a 2003 Outstanding Entertainment Executive of the Year Award by the Washington Area Music Association.

Brian has been interviewed for numerous publications, including the New York Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Boston Globe, Opera Now, and Inside Arts Magazine. He is a frequent speaker on a variety of subjects of importance to the arts and entertainment community, including entertainment law, intellectual property, artist and arts management, arts-based business and non-profit organization and management, new media and technology, and immigration issues for foreign artists. His speaking engagements have included teaching workshops and seminars for New York University, the Kennedy Center Arts Management Fellowship Program, Marlboro College, the International Dublin Theater Festival, Midwest Arts Conference, Western Arts Alliance, the Association of Performing Arts Presenters National Conference, Performing Arts Exchange, the American Symphony Orchestra League National Conference, Opera America National Conference, the International Artist Managers Association London Conference, the District of Columbia Commission on the Arts, The Entertainment Law Committee of the District of Columbia Bar, Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA) in New York City, the Brooklyn Arts Council, the American Choral Directors' Association, the American Association of Theater Educators, and the United States Institute of Theater Technology. Brian is also a member of the Adjunct Faculty in the Masters in Arts Management program at George Mason University.

In addition to his legal practice, Brian has a long resume as a performer. Currently, he is President and Artistic Director of Lord Foppington & Company www.lordfoppington.org, a theatrical production company dedicated to the performance of period and period-themed comedies. The company has performed to critical acclaim throughout the United States, as well as in England, and wrote the scripts for and performed on Colonial Fair, a sound recording featuring music and stories inspired by the 18th Century which was awarded the Best Children's Album of the Year by the National Association of Libraries. Brian is the author of numerous plays which have been produced and performed by the company. He is not only a devout Anglophile, but a staunch Loyalist who is known by clients and friends as "His Lordship."

Robyn Guilliams
Robyn earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Louisville in 1986, obtaining a Bachelor of Music Theory concentrating in piano, flute and composition, and her law degree from the University of Maryland (J.D., 2004). She is a member of the New York State Bar, the Virginia Bar and the District of Columbia Bar.

With an extensive background in arts management and administration, Robyn's professional career has included positions with the American Symphony Orchestra League, the Richmond Symphony, the William Morris Agency, and most recently, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, where she served as the Assistant Artistic Administrator for the National Symphony Orchestra. Robyn's duties at the NSO included programming the Orchestra's festivals, its pops, family and summer series, and its chamber music series, as well as negotiating and preparing contracts for the NSO's many guest conductors and guest artists.

She joined Fettmann, Tolchin and Majors, P.C. as an associate in 2006, specifically to become part of FTM Arts Law, for whom her unique background and impressive knowledge of the key players and denizens of the arts community has proven invaluable. Her practice is concentrated in the fields of arts and entertainment, including music, arts administration, artist and arts management, non-profit arts organizations, copyright, trademark, licensing and tax issues relating to foreign artists. Robyn also practices in the areas of litigation, and business and employment law.

Andrea ("Andi") Floyd
Andi graduated from Virginia's elite Governor's School for Government and International Relations in 2000, where she was a member of the Improv Team and the We the People Constitutional Debate Team, placing 8th in the nation. Her many theatrical credits include being selected as part of the All-Star Cast at the 2000 Virginia One-Act Competition in Virginia Beach.

She received her undergraduate degree from George Mason University in 2004, obtaining a B.A. (with honors) in English and a minor in Government. Much to Brian's delight, she attended Cambridge University during the Summer of 2003, where she studied British Literature. She was also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

Andi has been with Fettmann, Tolchin & Majors, P.C. since 2004 as both a paralegal and the manager of the FTM Arts Law team. As a result of her impressive understanding of forms, procedures, and regulations, and an almost unearthly proficiency in crisis diffusion and management, not to mention a wisdom far beyond her years, her phone number can be found on the speed dial of some of the most significant managers, agents, producers, artists, and arts administrators in the world. Andi is married with a dog; a die-hard Red Sox, Redskins and GMU Patriots fan; a creative writer; and a Libra who enjoys the beach and can't stand the cold.
